The Rockets never trailed in the game after jumping out to a 16 to 12 first quarter lead. Gary Humphrey scored a layup as time expired in the 2nd to push the RP halftime lead to 31-20. The Rockets maintained the advantage in the 3rd, leading 42-32 after three. Josh Jordan led a balanced RP attack with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Carter Fulton added 11 points including three 3 point field goals. RP finished 23-32 from the free-throw line while Union shot 11-25 from the line. The win moves the Rockets to 7-1 on the season and 1-0 in conference play. The loss snapped a four game winning streak for Union, dropping their record to 4-2 on the year.
