Stingy defense on the part of the Rockets during the second and third quarters was the difference in their win over the Lady Wildcats of Jenison 46-39. Trina Lewis and Bridget McHugh anchored the interior defense while Emily Caltagirone, Lexi Bolles, and Abby Fansler hassled shooters off the top.
Kylie Clark led all scorers with 25 points and Ally VanTimmeren had 14 for the Wildcats.
Lauren Ross led Rocket scorers with 17 points and 12 boards. Bridget McHugh had 9 points and 10 rebounds and Emily Caltagirone had 9 points and 4 assists.
