The Lady Rocket Basketball team pulled out a hard fought game against their rivals from Mona Shores 48-32. The Rockets led by only one at halftime but came out with better defensive organization to pull away from the scrappy Sailors down the stretch. A 16 to 2 third quarter spurt proved to be the difference. The Rockets had their best team effort of the season on the boards pulling down 39 in an effort to limit Shores' second chances and collect second chance opportunities of their own. 

Emily Caltagirone's hot hand from the outside and Trina Lewis' inside game gave the Rockets a new dimension to the offense the Rockets have been looking for. Caltagirone finished with 14 points as did Lauren Ross. Lewis and Bridget McHugh had 8 boards each to go along with Ross' 11.

Julia Tierman led the Lady Sailors with 10 points and Megan DeLong and Riley Rosenthal had 6 each. Bri Wade pulled down 8 boards for Mona Shores.
